Monogram Friday: Letter Underlay

Sorry for my absence the past 2 days....I have been busy filing orders and will post the progress on those in the coming days.

This is one of my favorite monograms because it is simple and classic, and can go with any wedding theme. This monogram can be done quite a few number of ways, and I'll post a variation of this on Monogram Tuesday.

Happy Friday!

Monogram Tuesday: First Names Only

I'm feeling pretty good this week, so I've decided to extend monogram Friday to Tuesday as well! Most monograms that we see today feature the couples last name or initial as the focal point. Today we are focusing on the first names only with this curly font that is hidden behind the grooms initial in a block font.

Happy Tuesday!

Monogram Friday: Double Lines

A new tradition has been born at the Glitzy Events Blog. Many couples are incorporating a monogram into their wedding design; whether it be on the invitations, on a wedding website, or spotlighted during the reception. Monograms are a great way to brand your special day.

Every Friday I will spotlight a different monogram design. If you are interested in having us create a monogram for you feel free to email us at info@glitzyevents.com with your specifications. The cost for 1 high resolution monogram will be $10 in 1-2colors. If you choose a 2 color monogram we will also invert the colors, and you will have 2 monograms at your disposal. For 1 color monograms we will give you 2 monograms of the same design in the 2 different colors of you choice.

Happy Monogram Friday!

Design Spotlight: Oriental Flowers

If are looking for a simple but elegant invite this one is perfect for you. It features crispy white cardstock mounted onto shimmery black cardstock. The oriental flowers give it a color splash with the vibrant red. You could take this invite as is, or the colors can be adjusted to match any color scheme.

Happy Thursday!

It is such a historical day!

Today I am not going to post any work related projects, but just wanted to take a moment to reflect on what a great day today is. It just really hit me how historic this moment is, and how happy I am to be able to witness this in my lifetime. Our country has come a long way, and we still have a way to go.

So congrats to our very soon to be president in about 1hr, President Barack Obama!

Client Spotlight: Adrienne & Kevin Part II

A few days ago I blogged about this couples damask pocketfold invitation. This is their 2nd design option. This option has the actual damask motif printed on the invitation. The outside is secured closed with a satin ribbon, and triple layered square, one of which features the damask motif. Their names are printed on the top layer of the square, but you can also have your monogram printed there.

Happy Friday!

Client Spotlight: Connie & Mike

This couple is having a black & white themed wedding, so we used all quartz & black shimmery stock, and a rhinestone & ribbon embellishment. Simple & Elegant!

Design Spotlight: The Melissa

I mentioned yesterday that damask can go with basically any color, and here is another example. The damask stock is mounted onto a cranberry metallic stock, and the invitation is printed on crispy white cardstock. If you have a black, red, & white color scheme this look will easily compliment it!

Client Spotlight: Adrienne & Kevin Part I

So Adrienne is having a hot pink and damask wedding. I love damask because it can basically go with any color you can imagine. Utilized here is our 5x7 Azalea Pocketfold, damask mat, and shimmering invitation and inserts.

Damask Belly Band

You can also add a ribbon to the belly band to give it a little pop!

Stay tuned for part II

Design Spotlight: Yin & Yang

So this is a double layered invitation featuring the metallic black stock, shimmering textured metallic stock in hot pink, and the invitation is also printed on metallic stock. The linking of two satin ribbons in different colors which I dub yin & yang at the top of the invite gives it a nice design element. A coordinating response card (not shown) will also feature the same design.

Happy Monday!

Vendor Spotlight: Baby Cakes

I had the pleasure of purchasing the most wonderful treats from a fellow etsy seller Baby Cakes and I have to say they were just so delicious! I ordered a set of 12 milk chocolate truffles with a ganache center, and the ganache literally melted in my mouth!! Baby Cakes also offers cupcakes, marshmellows, and has a monthly cupcake club. I say definitely check out this shop, I know I'll be going back for future purchases!

Thanks again Micki!

Design Spotlight: The 2 P's

That is Paisley & Pink of course!

This design features a green textured metallic card stock which is mounted onto pink metallic card stock. The paisley ribbon is a nice addition to this invite and really makes it pop. This invitation is perfect for any spring wedding, and stands out in that it doesn't use the usual black ink for the text, but the same green ink to complement the textured mat. If you are a lover of paisley like I am, this would be perfect for you! Also, remember all stocks can be swapped out to coordinate with your color scheme.

Happy Wednesday!
